Fluorodyn™ Caulk from the Thermodyn Corp of Sylvania, Ohio, USA, consists of DuPont™ Viton® fluoroelastomer used as a sealant/adhesive for hose couplings and as a mastic over plastic fuel tank hot welds. The caulk is very effective in reducing permeation from the fuel tank envelope, particularly from susceptible hot weld points.
